okay so I've pre-ordered Tekken 6 for PSP at EB Games, and was told they're getting it on the 10th of Dec.

BUT i read on Kotaku today that Tekken 6 for PSP is out TODAY? So I rang my local JB (Macquarie Centre) and got put through to games. A girl answered and I asked her if Tekken 6 for PSP was out today. She said "Hang on, I'll go check" she came back and said "Not Dark Resurrection right?". I politely responded, "No."

So a few mins later she came back and said "Yeah they don't have Tekken 6 for PSP yet. Like they haven't even started making it for PSP"

I took a deep breath. Mega fail games knowledge. And explained to her,
"Oh okay. It's just that EBGames already has a release date for Tekken 6 - they're getting it on the 10th of December"

Obviously you can't make a game like Tekken 6 in 2 weeks time. So she was like, "Oh okay. Well we don't have anything in the inventory so we don't have a release date yet"

We both said our goodbyes, then I hung up and did the biggest facepalm I had done since Kenneth failed us in our DOTA-fountain-killing-adventure.

Seriously, it shits me when they hire non-gaming hoons to work in a games related job.

Hahah I bet they just hired her cuz shes hot and it attracts the nerdy gamers cause they want to talk to a hot chick for a change.

But why go JB when youve got Izzy at EB?

I only wanted to go to JB if they got Tekken 6 today, rather then wait till December 10th for my EB preorder.

I am craving Tekken 6 that badly!


It just really shits me because of girls like her, that when actual girl gamers DO work at game store customers assume we all have no knowledge whatsoever.

Izzy can break street date for you, just go near the end of her shift or on her lunch break and ask her and she can normally sneak it out for you, shes done it for me a couple times. Just make sure noones around when you ask
