Summer Holiday Roadtrip

Just copying pasting from the email to keep better record of it. Unfortunately, Angus will be unable to join us as he will be in the Philippines ;(

Hello dear esteemed friends!

I email with intention of talking about our summer roadtrip!
I know it seems rather early to be thinking about it now but the earlier we get this down the better! Plus I'm kinda in a 'i can't be effed doing anything' mood at work, which might be why I'm spending time writing emails and such instead.

Anyway for this year's summer holidays I was thinking we go somewhere different this time. For now lets talk possible locations we can go to. I've done a bit of research (again, at work) and have listed them all below.

Coastal Places
- The Entrance. I seriously never get enough of the central coast!
- Seven Mile Beach. Pitched as the 'longest beach' in like, ever.
- Nelson Bay. Only heard of it. It's close to Port Stephens and features things like whale watching, scuba diving, sand dunes, and bushwalking.


Other Possible Places
- Hunter Valley. More inner, think country side and lots of wine and cheeeeeese!
- Hawk's Nest. Is near Tea Gardens, which is where I believe we went for year 9 Cumbo camp!
- Blue Mountains. Self explanatory. Mountains that are blue!


My personal pick out of all those would have to be Hunter Valley. Why, you ask? Because I really really wanna show you guys the house I stayed at last time!! It was freaking awesome!! AND MASSIVE! And we'd just have such an awesome time there, I can feel it. So yeah!

What are you personal picks? If you have additional suggestions please do feel free to add some!

But for now, I would just liek a general consensus of opinion where everybody would like to go this time. <3

I don't mind where we go, as long as its an hr away and I wouldn't mind if it's even furthur away xD. There's a period where I can't go in december from christmas to first of JAN cuz parents going to HK. And Annie is coming down After mid January so if we're going then, she can also come along =). But yeh I don't mind where we go! RAWR.

ok guys I'ma make an enquiry for Hunter Valley... for when Anne comes down too ;D

It'll probably be in January some time. Now to take votes on how long we stay there.

I vote 3 nights! It's not too little, not too long. Actually if i had things my way we'd be partying for weeks on end xD

After going to the entrance a fair few times I'd vote for Hunter Valley, it'll be a nice change of scenery. And im sure the house that Zorine's been talking about for ages is gonna be awesome too

Heads up guys, Anne will be down here in Syd from the 19th of January till the 3rd of February. So the trip will be happening sometime within that timespan.

3 nights most likely too.

Okay I'm looking at weekend falling on January 21st till January 24th. That's three nights, checking out on the Sunday. It falls over a weekend so shud be easier to get days off. We'll only need to take Thursday and Friday off for those of us that are working.

Paul Kim cannot make the suggested dates, so they are being moved to 28th-31st of January.

everybody has replied except Kenneth and Anne (ooOOooo) so I haven't made the enquiry yet, nor will I be making it until everybody has given the get-go for the dates.
